Our Story

Lighthouse London began in 2006 with a small group of us planting into a parish church sited on a busy transport hub near to central London. Six years in, and feeling tired at trying to make the church grow and ‘do everything well’, we experienced a fresh wave of the Holy Spirit; Lighthouse London was renewed with a fresh immersion in the Father’s love, and everything changed!

We come to intimacy with God the Trinity through the Holy Spirit. He is the one who brings us access into the presence of Jesus, to the ‘life to the full’ reality in our everyday. Yet how many of us are not aware or maybe overlook the Spirit within?  This can mean believers lack the living love of the Spirit — and so we become driven by duty, rather than moved by love and the experienced reality of God’s presence in our hearts inspiring and motivating how we navigate life.

That presence brings us hope and joy and awareness of who He is. His love lets us know our value. Discovering how to live from the active spirit within us — throughout our lives bringing the restoration and healing that we need. Equipping us with the vision for our purpose and the whole of life.

Like a river flows through different gradients and stages — the Holy Spirit leads us into discovery, awakening and identity, instead of lack and confusion. And so we develop spiritual foundations for all seasons. Without that awareness of the Holy Spirit we are missing that flow.
